Single Vineyard Syrah

Yabby Lake Vineyard Single Vineyard Syrah is sourced from the winery's cool climate Mornington Peninsula estate. The vines, a mix of two Shiraz clones, grow in sandy clay loam soils over iron shot stone.

The handpicked fruit is destemmed and transferred to open fermenters with a portion of whole bunches. The wine spends two weeks on skins before being pressed to new and seasoned French oak puncheons.

During 11 months of maturation the wine completes malolactic fermentation and is racked once.

Crimson red, Yabby Lake Vineyard Single Vineyard Syrah is an elegant cool climate Shiraz. At its core are bright fruit flavours, fine tannins and a silky texture. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
